Career runway: clear levels from Associate to Principal Engineer
Stable schedule with meaningful field and office balance
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Impact)
Lead utility electrical projects across generation, transmission, distribution, and plant systems (CIP/Capital Improvement Program).
Design, maintain, and commission protection schemes: relays, breakers, fuses, and other protective devices for T&D and generation.
Perform short-circuit, load-flow, and relay coordination studies; determine relay settings and protection curves.
Prepare construction drawings/specifications ; review shop drawings; drive pre-con, inspections, and close-out.
Troubleshoot and optimize panels, control schemes, SCADA/I&C for electric, water, reuse, and pollution control facilities.
Plan and design new NSBU electric facilities to support system growth and new residential/commercial service.
Respond to customer/operations requests (e.g., street lighting , solar/DER interconnections , program support).
Act as an NSBU representative with regulators, trade groups, and partner utilities ; provide guidance to internal technical staff.
Tools & Technologies You’ll Use
