Field Technician
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (onsite) (West palm beach or Miami)

Duration: 3+ months

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Technician based in Miami & Palm Beach, FL, to support a range of onsite technology services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, network cabling, low voltage systems, and end-user support. This role involves travel to client sites within the region, installation and troubleshooting of hardware, and working independently or with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test CAT5e/6/6A cabling and fiber optics
• Install and configure networking equipment, wireless access points, routers, and switches
• Deploy and support POS systems, IP cameras, access control, and AV equipment
• Perform residential and commercial on-site tech support
• Provide basic IT troubleshooting and desktop support as needed
• Accurately document service visits, materials, and work performed
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, project managers, and clients onsite
• Ensure all installations meet industry standards and project specifications

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a field technician or similar IT/low voltage role
• Familiarity with cabling standards (TIA/EIA), network infrastructure, and IT hardware
• Must have your own telecommunications tools and a functioning laptop
• Comfortable with tools and ladders; ability to work in ceiling spaces or confined areas
• Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver s license and reliable transportation required
• Must pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Skills:

• CompTIA A+ / Network+ / BICSI certification a plus
• Experience with Cisco/Meraki, Ubiquiti, or equivalent networking equipment
• Experience in retail, construction, or healthcare tech environments
