Part time
$6,500 per month for one day /week
We are looking for a physician to join our medical group part time, to provide direct patient care as well as supervision of the PA/NPs on staff at our offices in Birmingham, AL. The physician's duties will be to perform orthopedic focused exams and perform bone marrow procedures in an out-patient setting for our clinic. The right candidate will be seeing patients, reviewing patient charts/X-Rays/MRIs to determine the best possible course of action and treatment for their pain. The position will start at 1 day per week with the potential to add days as patient volume increases and offer flexible scheduled based on the need of the Physician. Additional days could be added if willing to travel to our office in Tuscaloosa.

The NP/PA's examine patients and perform joint and trigger point injections in our physical medicine office. We provide concierge medicine; the patients are seeking high quality care not covered by insurance and we strive to make them comfortable and educated about the procedures so that they are satisfied in undergoing the treatments offered.
Duties:
-Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and bone marrow (will provide training if needed) procedures for a specified patient population.
-Directs, coordinates, and oversees patient care; provides supervision to clinical staff.
-Follows established policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
-Be available via phone/text for remote guidance when not in the clinic
-Perform randomized patient/chart review to assure proper treatment procedures are being followed
-Availability for consultation and direction of the PA/NP
-Answer patient's questions and concerns
Requirements:
-BCBE in Pain Management, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Physiatry, Anesthesiology or PM&R preferred but will consider Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or ER physicians with Joint injection experience
-Prior experience/background in joint injections preferred but will provide training
-MD or DO License to Practice Medicine in AL
Schedule:
-Part time (1 day a week to start, we are flexible on the day)
Compensation:
-$6,500 per month for one day /week
