Position: Regional MDS Coordinator

(Competitive salary, dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Regional MDS Coordinator to help support our Southern Wisconsin and Upper Illinois facilitie s. This individual would be traveling at least 50% of the time .The selected candidate will join the MDS leadership team, reporting to the VP of Clinical Reimbursement, and will serve as the fourth Regional MDS Coordinator alongside three existing regional team members.

The Regional MDS Coordinator will provide leadership, coverage and vision necessary to ensure that assigned facilities have the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and personnel systems in place to effectively grow their organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assures all residents needs are met, treatment is well-documented to company standard, good outcomes are achieved, and the practices operate efficiently
  • Provides in-services and training to facility clinical staff as needed
  • Functions as a resource for clinical program, caseload development, education training
  • Assures the overall clinical, operational, and financial success of assigned region
  • Achieves optimal program performance through mentoring, problem-solving, brainstorming, and supervising facility MDS coordinators.
  • Visits all assigned facilities regularly with availability to MDS coordinators via phone and email on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides MDS coverage for assigned facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN licens e in assigned states or willingness to obtain licensure in Illinois and Wisconsin.
  • Minimum of 3 years of MDS Coordinator experience
  • Multi site/regional experience preferre d.
  • MDS certification (RAC-CT) or other advanced certification preferred but not required.
  • Interdisciplinary management and understanding essential elements of position to include mock survey, PDPM, CMI, Managed care reimbursement, Value Based Purchasing, Quality reporting program.
  • Flexible and able to multitask; can work within a fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.
  • Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time.
